The launch of the astronauts aboard the Artemis II is close, and if you plan to visit, then check the schedule at the Kennedy Space Center website or via social media on which they will announce launch status. As for viewing the launch, there are a couple of options:

Do consider that when you are traveling in Florida visiting the Space Coast, you may experience heavier traffic as you near Kennedy Space Center Visitor Complex, located at Space Commerce Way, Merritt Island, FL 32953.

Timely Trip Tip:

The launches do draw crowds, so please be patient with traffic and pedestrians. It is suggested to arrive about 3 to 4 hours early, if possible, to avoid heavier traffic near the Kennedy Space Center

Space Coast Parks and Beaches

As an alternative to Kennedy Space Center, there are several public parks and beaches that include:

  • Space View Park, located across the Indian River at 10 Broad St, Titusville, FL 32796, is a famous viewing location.
  • Sand Point Park, 101 N Washington Ave, Titusville, FL 32796, is also a popular 30-acre riverfront park.
  • For a less crowded space with nature and wildlife viewing, visit Manatee Sanctuary Park, 701 Thurm Blvd, Cape Canaveral, FL 32920. This park has a boardwalk along the Banana River, where manatees are often spotted.

The World Is Watching

United in curiosity, viewers from around the world can find the broadcast at NASA online and tv as they prepare for launch. The coverage starts several hours before liftoff. They will also broadcast via NASA+ and NASA TV, as well as YouTube and social media.
