Exciting news for those who love fireworks - tickets are now available for the International Fireworks Championship in Traverse City! Hosted at Turtle Creek Stadium, the schedule is set for Friday, September 11, and Saturday, September 12.
Look to the skies for fireworks performances by award winning international teams. Among the countries that participated last year are teams from the Canada, China, Poland, Portugal, Serbia, and the USA. The competition was fierce with Poland taking home the top prize. The plan this year is for three different teams to create a synchronized pyrotechnic display to music each evening.
“The fireworks displays are nothing short of spectacular,” said Traverse City TourismPresident, Trevor Tkach. “These are some of the best pyrotechnic teams from around the world that are working hard to outperform each other. It creates a magical atmosphere and incredible fun for everyone.”
Part of the fun each night is the chance for the public to vote for their favorite team. Later, a panel of fireworks experts will decide the overall winner of the two-night show.
