Spring is not far away and will be a lovely time for a drive to enjoy the colorful blossoms of delicate white, bright pink and purple. Along with the beautiful flowers are spring events like the Arkansas Cherry Blossom Festival that takes place April 4, 2026.
Artists and Writers Competition
The Cherry Blossom Festival has announced that Arkansas artists and writers of all ages are welcome to join the Origami Competition and the Annual Haiku Competition.
The colorful Origami entries will be exhibited at the festival, and later, awards will be presented to outstanding submissions. Find entry deadlines and submission details are available on the Arkansas Cherry Blossom Festival website.
Together with their Sister City, Hanamaki, Japan, Hot Springs, has been recognized as the Best Overall Sister City Program in America. The honor, presented by, Sister Cities International, is a celebration of the shared kindness.
