The Waldron Arts Center / Constellation is a hub for arts, theater and film lovers. They showcase a diverse range of shows, from original works to classic favorites, and even have family-friendly shows. Plus, they offer year-round education programs, film screenings, and support for local arts groups.
The Waldron Arts Center recently presented Renaissance Pinball, an exhibition by artist, Jennifer Herrold, in which she created colorful collages themed around pinball. And, as a fun hands on experience, guests were able to play a round of pinball. Have you ever played pinball - it’s a blast!
In another exhibition, Rod Bradfield’s House Series, features intimate designs within house shapes, drawn in bright colors against brown paper. Look closely for the blends of color and lines that capture the heart of each drawing. Each one of his works showcases a unique perspective and is on display until April 27, 2025.
Also at the John Waldron Arts Center in Bloomington, Indiana is “The 4 O’Clock Hour,” a group show featuring works by five artists who meet monthly to critique and support each other’s artistic practices. The show, opened April 4th, includes a variety of mediums and interpretations of nature.
In addition to their visual arts gallery, there are two performing arts venues at Waldron Arts Center, and this allows them to present an exciting mix of films and shows for everyone to enjoy, and includes:
- Maple and Vine - showing through April 13.
- The King's Wife - set for June 5 - 29th.
For children they present:
- Polkadots: The Cool Kids Musical - from April 25th - May 11th.
