Fun For All At Cedar Point

High flying rides, entertainment and more

Located in the Midwest, Cedar Point was named the “Best Amusement Park in the World” by Amusement Today. If you've never been to Cedar Point you have to go because along with all the rides and entertainment, the park is located right along the shores of Lake Erie. So, there's plenty of fun for everyone to enjoy on your trip. In fact, with several hotel packages available, you can save a lot by booking your trip and passes at the same time.

We stayed at Castaway Bay, which is just down the road from Cedar Point. It was a perfect place to stay because it was close, affordable, and the rooms were very spacious. There's also a waterpark, which Cedar Point has as well, along with activities for our grandson, and a game room. The staff was wonderful, and always there when we needed anything.

When we arrived at Cedar Point our grand son was ready to go before we got out of the car. There's so much to see and do that we took our time wandering from one section to another. One of the rides we rode was the Witches' Wheel, and it was crazy. You start of slow and slow build up speed until gravity takes control, and you feel like you're glued to your seat. If you're not a fan of spinning in circles, I'd pass on this one, although, we laughed ourselves silly the whole time. And, once we got off we still felt like we were spinning.

The Pipe Scream was another wild ride that took us up 43 feet at 43 mph! It's like a skateboard on steroids, and keeps going faster as the ride continues. Unlike the Witches' Wheel that seats two people, the Pipe Scream had plenty of room for all us the join the fun. Later, our son took Alec so they could ride the coasters. Cedar Point is known as the "Roller Coaster Capital of the World," and has around 17 intense, and thrilling coasters at the moment. The Blue Streak is one of my favorites because it's a classic wooden roller coaster that gives you a great view of Lake Erie - that is when you're not screaming your head off and have time to look in between drops!

For young children, Planet Snoopy is the perfect place to visit for kid size coasters, and rides. Snoopy's Express Railroad looks small, but goes pretty fast. For anyone who's enjoyed the Tea Cups at the Magic Kingdom at Disney World, you'll defiantly like Woodstock's Whirlybirds. Along with kid size rides, there's also games, and entertainment to enjoy throughout the day.

When it comes to cooling off you can head over to the Soak City Water Park that has plenty of cool slides to zip down. Or, relax along the lazy river on a raft. If you prefer to lounge on the beach - it's just steps away, and is a nice place for a picnic.

From coasters to family activities, and year-round events, Cedar Point is a must visit attraction, and we can't wait until our next visit!
