Pulaski County Honors Paul Revere’s Ride


As the nation gears up for the momentous 250th anniversary of the United States, communities across America are finding unique ways to connect with their historical roots. In Pulaski CountyVirginia, the spirit of 1775 will come alive with a vibrant reenactment of Paul Revere's iconic ride, a key event in the lead-up to the American Revolution.


Join the Pulaski County 250th of the American Revolution Committee and the Wilderness Road Regional Museum for a fun event to celebrate the 250th anniversary of Paul Revere’s famous ride, which serves as a poignant prelude to the larger America250 commemorations.


Local horsemen will gallop through the streets of Newbern, announcing the arrival of the British Regulars. Then, they’ll join up with local living historians and other guests at the Wilderness Road Regional Museum for an evening of music, a reading of Longfellow’s poem, and some tasty treats from Boston. This event is perfect for families and is completely free to attend. If you can spare a donation, it would help us fund more 250th events throughout the New River Valley.
