Indiana Lore At The History Museum

The History Museum in St. Joseph County, Indiana brings the past into focus

The History Museum in St. Joseph County, Indiana brings the past into focus in a new exhibit, Indiana Lore. The exhibition runs through May and shares historic photos and original art by the BrainTwins, Indianapolis-based artists, tracing the roots of Indiana’s tall tales.

This exhibit reveals:

The story behind the green-eyed ghost of a bulldog guarding a grave at Terre Haute’s Highland Lawn Cemetery.

Turn the page of another mystery and learn about the Grey Lady who lurks in the children’s book section of Evansville’s Willard Library.

Then there are the Churubusco’s Beast of Busco and other impossible creatures.

Each story explores a different region in Indiana - each with distinct tales of lore. These tall tales spark imaginations and are just a few of the mysteries of Indiana Lore
