Cryptozoology Thrives at Indiana Bigfoot Center

Is there a Cryptid nearby - find out at Indiana Bigfoot Center

Part of the fun when traveling is finding obscure and unique places to visit like the Indiana Bigfoot Center in Nashville, Indiana. It was here my friend, Sue and I met Leroy Nail and his lovely wife, Nancy at their Bigfoot Center in the heart of Nashville.

The couple has an extensive collection of research and Leroy can share many stories about Bigfoot. The Center has a fun offering of Bigfoot objects and apparel that make ideal gift ideas for anyone who enjoys cryptozoology.

Lake at Morgan Monroe Forestry

The exciting moment of our visit to their Center was learning that Leroy hosts walks in nearby Morgan-Monroe State Forestry. He describes signs and tales of Bigfoot on these walks, which keeps guests listening closely for movement in the woods. In fact, the Morgan-Monroe State Forest, down to Brown County State Park, as well as Yellowwood State Forest and beyond are well known regions for the local cryptozoology legends.

Have you seen a cryptid?

Have you seen a cryptid? (These are beings or creatures that have not been proven to exist by science, yet. And, the study of these beings and stories is called cryptozoology, which has been discussed in detail by Robert Dobler, Senior Lecturer at the Department of Folklore and Ethnomusicology at IU in Bloomington, Indiana.

Earlier, in September, Leroy and other folks shared their stories at the annual Indiana Bigfoot Conference at the scenic Seasons Lodge in Nashville. The Conference featured presentations, and panel discussions on theories, evidence, and experiences related to Bigfoot
