The weather was perfect on our trip to Fishermans Village Marina, a local treasure of Punta Gorda, Florida that welcomes guests from around the world. I adore just relaxing and sipping a refreshment while admiring the boats in the Marina, where boaters, cruises, along with sightseeing and fishing excursions pass.
Fishermans Village Marina has many amenities available for boaters as well as lovely accommodations overlooking the water. The best part of staying here is the location near town activities and attractions, a perfect home base for vacations. Another benefit is the tasty selection of restaurants featuring picks from local markets and the freshest seafood from the region.
From breakfast to casual dinners, there are options for great food, in addition to entertaining events, dances, and community activities to enjoy. In fact, the Fishermans Village has an exciting schedule of events, and recently celebrated the 30th Anniversary of the Salty Paws Celebration. In February they welcomed the Paint Punta Gorda Purple Brain Bus. With a lively St. Patrick’s Day Celebration this March, and just recently they found a groove during Jazz On the Harbor - (National Marina Days).

Festive Holidays At Fishermans Village
The holidays are especially fun when they host the Holiday Lighting of the Village in November. This kicks off Holiday Festival of Lights that runs from Nov 15th - Dec 31st. Later, in December is the Lighted Canal Cruises - December 1st - 31st. With a New Year’s Eve Celebration and Fireworks Display set for December 31st.
