National Military Appreciation Month

Happy Memorial Day!

National Military Appreciation Month is May, and it was declared by Congress to be a time to honor the sacrifices of the six branches of the United States Armed Forces, including the Army, Navy, Air Force, Marines, Coast Guard, and Space Force. Another group to recognize are the volunteers serving our communities, military and veterans every day at the American LegionEagles AerieVFWDAVVA Hospitals and other organizations.

Honoring Veterans and Community

In Central Indiana, as across the country, the spirit of service runs deep in the everyday actions of those who continue to give long after their military service ends. These are the ones who also volunteer for local Honor Guard details, support grieving families, and already have boots on the ground when a community is in need.

Flag Presentation Armed Forces Day

We thank the Town of Bethany for allowing these fine gentlemen to present the Honor Guard Ceremony and the Flag Presentation on Armed Forces Day, May 16, 2026, in honor of United States Navy veteran, Leroy Worley. We also wish to thank the community, family and friends who shared this moment. Leroy is remembered as a dedicated husband, father, mentor, brother, and friend, in addition to being publisher of USA Travel Magazine.
