The Guggenheim Museum Bilbao welcomes guests with Puppy - the massive, 40-foot tall West Highland Terrier, created by Jeff Koons.
While many sculptures are often merely exhibition pieces, Puppy is Living Architecture, a breathing, growing masterpiece that is home for over 38,000 living plants.
The beauty of Puppy is the museum updates the flowers twice a year:
Spring and Summer, the Guggenheim Museum Bilbao plants vibrant colors of begonias, impatiens, and petunias. Then, later in the year they transitions to the Autumn and Winter blooms that withstand the cooler Basque, Spain climate.

A total sensory flood of fun awaits guests as they enjoy the giant dog. -There’s a bonus - instead of wet dog smell, there’s the earthy smells of the botanical garden. Guggenheim Museum Exhibits
The present "Works from the Guggenheim Museum Bilbao Collection" exhibition showcases significant 20th and 21st-century art. Also, in March is the Ruth Asawa retrospective. The exhibit called "Arts of the Earth" is scheduled through May, and there much more the museum has planned for the year ahead.
