Drive along I-69 In Martinsville and you see a glimpse of the Ozark Fisheries that was established in 1926. The history of aquaculture goes back further - to 1899 - when Grassyfork Fisheries was the top hatchery in the world. This American aquaculture business has earned the town its famous nickname: "The Goldfish Capital of the World."


FFA National Convention Tours


This is a big year at the hatchery that is celebrating their 100th Anniversary with festive events. And,the tours are a wonderful way to see how they grow the fish and learn about conservation. 


The two tours showcase 100 years of aquaculture technology:


The FFA National Convention Tours will be of particular interest for FFA Students and agricultural enthusiasts. 


The Public Group Tours are scheduled 1-hour "Hands-On" events that take guests through hatchery to see the ponds and facilities.
