A vibrant hub of themed activities, Fountain Fletcher District was recently honored to be one of the main focus areas for this year’s WWE Royal Rumble. The communities had a blast as they celebrated with a four-night extravaganza.
For fans and locals alike, the weekend of wrestling events included gatherings offerings of live music, entertainment, along with tasty cuisine and refreshments. There was also - Here Comes the PAINt - A temporary mural by local Fountain Fletcher artist, JD Bills located outside The Murphy Arts Center - featuring your favorite WWE legends.
Fountain Fletcher District Events
In this feature, we wanted to look beyond wrestling to the many events hosted by Fountain Fletcher District throughout the year. Among these events are:
- Plaza Series that presents free community programming on the Fountain Square Plaza from May through October.
- Art Squared, a free, all-ages event in September at Fountain Square, features an Art Fair, Masterpiece in a Day art competition, and a Block Party with live music and local vendors.
- October brings Scare in the Square on the 31st from 4:30p – 7p in Fountain Square and Fletcher Place. It’s fun for all, just start at any business, grab maps and activity books at Fountain Square Plaza or The Recess.
