The Craters of the Moon National Monument has fascinated folks for a hundred years, which they are celebrating with multiple events that highlight the “Phases of the Moon” experienced at the park. One of the events to join is the Craters of the Moon Star Party on Friday and Saturday when park rangers and volunteer astronomers share their knowledge and an evening of star gazing. Telescope viewing is set to start around 10:15 pm. The event is include with admission. It is suggested that guests bring a jacket, a chair, water, and a red flashlight.
