The Children’s Museum of Indianapolis is ready to celebrate Earth Day. The day brings us together to help take care of our earth. On Earth Day, the Children’s Museum of Indianapolis will have special hands-on activities along with local experts, who will talk about ways to take action in our own communities.
Among activities to participate in are:
- IUPUI Earth Sciences: Examine rocks, minerals and fossils, Enjoy a free fossil giveaway and explore our planet’s history. Then, match Earth materials to products made from them to better understand renewable and non-renewable resources.
- Office of Sustainability City of Indianapolis: Take the pledge to be a part of the solution. Learn how the city of Indianapolis is taking action to create a sustainable future.
- Sierra Club Hoosier Chapter Leaves of Progress: Play a spin wheel game while learning about pollinators.
- Indiana Soybean Alliance: Stop by to create your own soybean necklace. Watch the seed germinate then plant it in your very own garden!
- Ahimsa: Enjoy an Earth Day competition for kids of all ages! Take action and share how you helped the planet to be entered into a giveaway of our Mindful Mealtime Set.
