Indiana is among the states in the totality path of the Great American Eclipse on April 8, 2024. Across the state, towns and cities invite us to join celebrations that include these eclipse events:
“LUNACY!” At White River State Park
White River State Park has a festive event called “LUNACY!” planned for the eclipse. This free festival runs from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Look for eclipse themed activities throughout the park, and at these attractions: The Eiteljorg Museum, Indianapolis Zoo, IMAX Theater in the Indiana State Museum, and NCAA Hall of Champions.
Richmond Eclipse and More 2024
Richmond and Wayne County, Indiana are directly in the path of totality and among the best places to be in the dark for the eclipse. Throughout the region there will be a variety of fun and educational events including interactive space and astronomy activities, art shows, street parties, along with music and more to experience. Another Richmond events is “Eclipse and More 2024” that will be hosted at the Wayne County Fairgrounds. This event in Richmond offers four days of music, exhibitors, food and entertainment.
Hendricks County
With the Hendricks County Eclipse in the path of totality with darkness and lasting for nearly four minutes a visit to the region is going to be a unique experience not to miss. Across the county destinations are hosting free and ticketed eclipse celebrations and viewing parties. Among these events is Race to the Eclipse at Lucas Oil Indianapolis Raceway Park in Brownsburg that include a 5K run /walk for a fee, live entertainment by a local band, children’s activities and two nitro dragsters speeding down the track at 300 mph when total darkness ensues.

The Shops at Perry Crossing in Plainfield, IN invite everyone to the Solar Eclipse 2024: Military Tribute. This Military Tribute celebrates local heroes with a day of activities, entertainment, children’s activities, along with much more to do at the mall.
