The IHRA is bringing excitement and big payouts to the races. They have announced big money and big fun are guaranteed when the International Hot Rod Association brings back blasts from the past with the IHRA Hot Rod Classic.
“We wanted to bring back a little of the history of IHRA, but we don’t want to forget our grassroots racers,” IHRA Owner and CEO Larry Jeffers said. “That’s why the bracket and junior racers will always be part of our programs.”
The IHRA, along with partners Don Baskin Truck Sales LLC, M&M Transmission and Extreme Racing Oil, announces large, guaranteed payouts to go along with the special black powder-coated IHRA Ironman trophies and specially designed IHRA medals for all winners!
Top Dragster and Top Sportsman payouts include:
- $3,000 for the winner and $1,000 for the other finalist.
- Quick Rod, Super Rod and Hot Rod have $2,000-to-win prizes and $750 for the runner-up
- Real Steel N/T racers will compete for $5,000 for the winner
- With $1,000 for the runner-up Pro Modified will also compete for big payouts.
Bracket racers will compete for big money too in 64-car shootouts for the Box, No Box and Junior classes. These will be pre-entered and on a first-come, first-serve basis with no double entries. Box and No Box payouts are $5,000 for the winner and $1,000 for the runner-up. The Junior Dragsters have $750 to win and $500 for the final round.
All Hot Rod Classis races will be broadcast on the IHRA-TV channel on YouTube and no cost to friends and family. See the IHRA website for schedules, events and tickets.
