The Indianapolis Zoo, a place we adore, was the very first to start the tradition of holiday lights. Now, Christmas at the Zoo is nominated for USA TODAY's 10 Best Zoo Lights! Help make the Indianapolis Zoo number one by casting your vote daily through Nov. 30th.
A visit to the zoo during the holiday season is a joyful occasion. Filled with lights, music, and cheer, the festivities during Christmas at the Zoo are all included with regular admission.
- Drop in at Mrs. Claus’ Kitchen help decorate cookies through Dec. 30.
- Adults can sample holiday-themed cocktails featuring Hotel Tango spirits and wines from Daniel’s Vineyard.
- Join Sprinkles and Holly nightly for storytelling outside of Cafe on the Commons.
- While over at Santa’s Barn you’ll find Santa’s sleigh and reindeer through Dec. 30.
This holiday season welcomes the reopening of the White River Gardens. Here, you’ll discover more lights and sights to enjoy. Plus, there will be several opportunities to meet the in Santa’s Study, sponsored by Peterman Brothers. The great elf will also appear from 3-9 pm at Flights of Fancy for a bit of fun with the flamingo flock.
