The upcoming inaugural CLASH Endurance Watkins Glen Triathlon will be aired by FS1 and FS2 at the end of July. The event brought together professional and age group athletes that varied in age and ability, who took on the Watkins Glen International Speedway. While participating theyalso experienced a myriad of scenery and region-specific activities surrounding “The Glen.” In addition, registered athletes received free entry to The Finger Lakes Wine Festival, noted as the “Best Wine Festival” by USA Today. The event will also air on FOX Sports Racing in varying Canadian markets. This broadcast differs from other CLASH Endurance shows as it centers around the faces and stories behind the start line.
Come out with your group and cheer on USA’s Andrew Starykowicz who led out of the swim and held off fellow competitors during the bike and run, dominating the men’s field with a winning time of 3:29:12. On the women’s side, American Sophie Watts claimed the title demonstrating excellent form on a difficult course, crossing the line at 3:52:09.
