The moment you arrive at the Absaroka Mountain Lodge you feel welcome. Guests who have visited the Lodge often say their stay was the best family vacation they’ve taken. What brings travelers back year after year? It could be the delicious home-cooked meals and cozy accommodations. In our experience what makes the difference between a good vacation and one you’d rather forget is the staff. We’ve found the staff at Absaroka Mountain Lodge are among the most friendly and helpful we’ve met. Which is especially great when you want to find the best fishing hole or have never ridden horseback along a trail.

The Absaroka Mountain Lodge has plenty of activities on-site to enjoy in addition to horseback riding, one of the favorite activities of guests, and fishing. Guests can relax and enjoy shooting a few hoops of basketball, get the gang together for sand volleyball, talk about the one that got away while tossing horseshoes, and savor the barbeque cookouts, and settle in around the evening campfires.

The Absaroka Mountain Lodge has an excellent babysitter on staff as well so parents can take a break and check out the activities nearby in Cody, Wyoming. With such an amazing landscape for guests to explore, the Absaroka Mountain Lodge is also the site for many small outdoor weddings. If you’re looking for the perfect getaway where you can explore nature, experience the Old West, or just escape the city, then the Absaroka Mountain Lodge is the place to visit.

So you can get out and enjoy the activities at the park, and tour the local sites as well . Also nearby is the town of Cody, which makes a great road trip.
