Explore Mammoth Cave National Park

Caving

The most stunning attractions we have visited over the years are those created by nature. Most of these natural treasures are protected within our State and National Parks like within Mammoth Cave National Park. One of our favorite destinations to explore natures creations is Kentucky. Whether you head out on horseback in the Kentucky hills, try kayaking, or drop a line in a nearby river or lake, Kentucky has plenty to offer those who enjoy the outdoors. Among the exciting activities, which is a favorite for many, are exploring Kentucky's extraordinary caves. While there are a few caves which are privately owned, one which is open to the public, and is famous world-wide is Mammoth Cave.

Visitors first toured Mammoth Cave in 1816. Since then millions have explored the cool depths of Kentucky's jewel. One might say that time seems to stand still when you descend beneath into a world of crystals and natural wonders where unusual creatures like albino fish live. Many recall explore the caves and then a picnic in the park on family vacations with their parents, and now share the experience with their children, and in the distant future, they will do the same.
