Travelers and locals alike are invited to witness a moving display: a 360-foot replica of the Vietnam Veterans Memorial, fondly known as “The Wall,” will be at the Hot Springs Memorial Field airport from May 23 through May 26.
This special exhibit honoring the military, brought to you by America's Freedom Tribute, is an 80% scale reproduction of the iconic memorial in Washington, D.C. Visit Hot Springs, along with the Veterans of Valor Organization of Hot Springs, Hot Springs VFW Post 2278, and Hot Springs American Legion Post 2020, are thrilled to bring this opportunity to our community.
“We’re so honored to welcome this meaningful tribute back to Hot Springs,” says Steve Arrison, CEO of Visit Hot Springs. “Back in 2012, we saw over 14,000 visitors come to the airport to experience it, and we expect even more this time. It’s a truly touching reminder of the sacrifices made by our American heroes. And the best part? It’s completely free and open to everyone!”
The original Vietnam Veterans Memorial in Washington, D.C., near the Lincoln Memorial, honors the 58,318 brave Americans who lost their lives in the Vietnam War, with their names beautifully etched in chronological order.
Kylah Doherty, spokesperson for America’s Freedom Tribute, shares, “We’re on a mission to bring this traveling tribute to communities across the country. It’s a chance to honor our veterans, keep their stories alive, and show our deep gratitude for their service. Plus, it’s a wonderful way to teach younger generations about the incredible contributions of those who fought for our freedom.”
“Seeing this 80% replica is a truly powerful experience,” Kylah adds. “The bronze panels, detailed graphics, and the names etched in white create a moving and unforgettable tribute. It’s a chance to pay your respects and remember the sacrifices made for our nation.”
If you’re traveling through or near Hot Springs, please take a moment to experience this important and moving display.
