Rose Biondo, inventor and Detroit-area advertising agency owner and creative director, came up with the idea for Via Chic one summer afternoon. She loved wearing her scarf that complemented her summer outfit. She also realized that these scarves often remain in their boxes until the right occasion comes around.

To eliminate this problem she came up with Via Chic. With the Via Chic handbag you simply wrap your designer silk scarf around it, and you've created a fashionable accessory.  This fashionable innovation now lets everyone who loves accenting their wardrobe's with scarves a reason to wear them year round.

 Designed and created in the United States, the Via Chic handbag is 13 by 7 by 4 inches, and includes a 36-inch gold chain strap and dust bag. There is also a silver chain variation available as well. It's such a creative idea to take a scarf you adore and rather than wear it around your neck use it to transform your handbag into a fashionable accessory.

I've seen gorgeous scarves in second hand shops and boutiques around the country on our travels. While I'm always tempted to by one, I end up talking myself out of it because how often would I really wear it? I also have girl friends whose grandmothers wore silk scarves, and until they learned about the Via Chic handbag they never imagined they could pull them out of those boxes and start using them. 

Together with Dick Paschke, longtime agency business partner, Rose launched Via Chic, and now this handbag is inspiring women to adorn their scarves once again!
