Give Back On Your Vacation With Terra Incognita Ecotours

Whether planning a family vacation or looking for a surprise getaway that offers a unique and meaningful experience, Terra Incognita Ecotours has amazing adventures that are memorable.

Ged Caddick, founder of Tampa-based Terra Incognita Ecotours, has created tours that give travelers the opportunity to gives back and make a big difference around the world. Terra Incognita Ecotours isn’t your average travel company – actually, it’s quite the opposite. “The business model I created for Terra Incognita isn’t based on profits. We measure success by how much we’re able to give away – the more the better,” says Ged.

Terra Incognita Ecotours takes you on adventures to destinations like Belize, Borneo, Brazil, China, India, Kenya, Rwanda, Madagascar and Tanzania. The ecotours are designed for travelers who want to visit the most extraordinary parts of the globe with an expert guide to show them the way. With such amazing destinations, many travelers return to join other ecotours. “Our ecotours aren’t your average vacations,” explains Ged. “We travel to the most exotic places and have encounters with endangered wildlife. It’s the stuff that bucket lists are made of. And the best part about our trips is that we donate a substantial percentage of every ecotour to the communities that so graciously host us. Our trips are the perfect adventure to share!” And, Terra Incognita Ecotours has already donated more than $125,000 to charities in more than 7 countries, literally changing lives each and every time he gets on an airplane.

The wonderful thing about the Terra Incognita Ecotours is you get to see those donation dollars at work on each tour by visiting the organization to which they are contributing. In Rwanda, the tours visit the Gorilla Doctors, a non-profit group of veterinarians responsible for keeping the highly endangered Mountain Gorilla population healthy. In India, his groups visit the India branch of World Wildlife Fund where they learn exactly what researchers, scientists and partners are doing to protect the endangered tiger population.

“Most people love to travel, but life’s chaos seems to get in the way and they don’t take the time to do it. I encourage my clients to become ambassadors for the places we visit and when they come home to spread the message that we really can make a difference with responsible ecotourism. I can’t think of anything more rewarding than getting away for a week or two with someone you love. It really is a bonding experience when you see how your vacation can change lives right before your eyes – your life as much as the lives of the people in the countries we visit.”
