Classic Journeys

Take A Classic Journey Into The Big Sky Country Of Utah

Take A Classic Journey Into The Big Sky Country Of UtahIn glorious Big Sky country, Classic Journeys celebrate our independence in a quintessentially American way: a cowboy cookout around a blazing campfire, complete with a songfest under the stars. From this working ranch in Whitefish, you can hit the trail for Glacier Park, where easy-going hikes showcase wildflower meadows, glistening waterfalls and even a glimpse of an abandoned mine.

In the company of expert naturalists, you can train your binoculars on moose, elk, deer, mountain goats, and bald eagles. There’s plenty of time on the water, too, including whitewater rafting and cruising pristine mountain lakes. When I think of how much fun these trips are they remind me of a “Classic” Family Journey that we’ll remember for years to come!

What makes a Classic Journeys trip wonderful is all you need to pack are a great pair of walking shoes and a spirit of adventure. With some of America’s most stunning scenery as a backdrop, accommodations at historic timbered lodges, and the opportunity to maximize every minute outdoors, you’re certain to have a memorable trip for years to come.

With the 6-day, 5-night getaway, Bryce, Grand Canyon and Zion Cultural Walking Adventure that departs in Mid May you can share a star-spangled Memorial Day surrounded by fantastical, red-orange rock formations. Enjoy scenic walks along canyon rims, a visit to Anasazi ruins, and even a mule ride descending into the heart of the Grand Canyon.

The Zion & Grand Canyon Classic Journeys offers river tubing and a slip-sliding session on the sand dunes, and departs from St. George, Utah, on at the End of June, finishing up just in time to enjoy the local festivities on July 4.

By design, a Classic Journey features three to four hours of walking a day at a comfortable, easy-going pace. The maximum group size is 18, big enough to allow you to enjoy time with others with similar interests, but small enough so that no one feels they’re being herded around like sheep.
