OR Travel Guide

Oregon became a state on Valentine’s Day in 1859, and is home to the first scenic highway in the U.S. - the Historic Columbia River Highway.  The state's rich history includes 10 Native American tribes, and there are four National Historic Trails, along with 14 National Historic Districts to explore. For those who enjoy a scenic view, Oregon has plenty to see, and the state has over 7,000 bridges, which includes 53 covered bridges. And, don't forget to make a stop along the coast to view the nine historic lighthouses and one light ship.

Below you'll find our current features, and we invite to return often as we add more exciting destinations and festivities to explore across the state.
