The Grand Sierra Resort and Casino Host The Annual Ultimate Boarder Championships

The art of surfing, skateboarding and snowboarding, and those who take their game to the next level will be compete in the Annual Ultimate Boarder Championships to be held at the Grand Sierra Resort and Casino, located at 2500 E. Second St. in Reno, Nevada. This high stakes event will draw adrenaline junkie's from everywhere to participate in the Annual Ultimate Boarder Championship. The skateboarding finals and awards ceremony will take place in Mid March. And, taking the stage in the Grand Theatre of the Grand Sierra Resort and Casino will be Pennywise and T.S.O.L, who rock the crowd during this event.!

The Ultimate Boarder™ is a one-week competition to find the athlete who can conquer the art of surfing, skateboarding and snowboarding. Ultimate Boarder™ was created in response to the growing popularity of these sports, and as a way to promote healthy athletic lifestyles among young athletes in a positive and competitive environment that grooms role models and heroes for our country’s next generation. .

The Ultimate Boarder™ surfing competition kicks off at Seaside Reef in Cardiff-by-the-Sea, Calif. (San Diego County), Saturday - Tuesday,; the snowboarding contest lands in Lake Tahoe at Northstar-at-Tahoe™ Resort, on Thursday; and the skateboarding finals hit Grand Sierra Resort & Casino in Reno, Nev., on Saturday. Among the Professional Athletes who'll be attending the Annual Ultimate Boarder Championships are: Omar Hassan, Tosh Townend, Steve Caballero, Christian Hosoi, Lyn-Z Adams Hawkins, Zach Miller, among others. The Skateboarding contest starts in the Silver State Pavilion at 10 a.m. on Saturday. Later that day at 6:45 p.m. the awards ceremony and check Presentation will also take place in the Silver State Pavilion. At 8 p.m. in the Grand Theatre Pennywise and T.S.O.L start their concert. The best part of the Annual Ultimate Boarder Championship at the Grand Sierra Resort and Casino is that it is a FREE event and open to the public.
