While in Ocean Springs visit the The Mary C. O'Keefe Cultural Center located in the historic Ocean Springs Public School Building. It is here you'll discover a diverse set of art programs and special exhibits. The Walter Anderson Museum of Art has a wonderful collection of works by Walter Inglis Anderson, American master, whose works includes depictions of the plants, animals, and people of the Gulf Coast.
May is a wonderful to visit and join the Taste of Ocean Springs Food and Wine Festival during Mayfest. This festivities include a fun run 5K through the streets of Ocean Springs, music and pub crawl featuring country, reggae, jazz, blues, Latin, Americana, and rock 'n' roll. Also included are unique arts and crafts from the
local artisan's, and plenty of tasty dining options.
In April is the 1699 Historical Society’s Weekend of Discovery that celebrates the town's heritage during the reenactment of the Landing of d’Iberville. This is a great opportunity to discover the unique culture and history of Ocean Springs and the surrounding Gulf Coast. And, the 1699 Historical Society also host many fun activities throughout the year.
