Iowa Travel Guide
While on our visit to Bettendorf, Iowa in the Quad Cities region we dined at Farraddays' that has a casual and elegant atmosphere, which is ideal for a couples night out or for celebrating a birthday or other special occasion.
The wonderful food offered Farraddays' keep many travelers coming back each year. The delicious steaks are tender and cooked to perfection, and they offer five new entrées for under $20 that include side items. Then there is Farraddays' famous coconut shrimp appetizer; a popular favorite on the menu, which is now available as an entrée as well. Farraddays' also has a award winning selection of wines to enjoy with your meal, in addition to the bar service. There is a nice casual bar located in the front of the restaurant where you can enjoy a meal with family and friends and watch the latest sports action!
Located within the Isle Casino Hotel are other options for dining in addition to Farraddays'; there is Calypso's that offers all-you-can-eat breakfast, lunch and seafood dinner buffets, the Tradewinds Marketplace, which a great for a late night snack or quick meal, and the Oasis, where you can enjoy the sunset along the river while eating a snack, or sampling a selections of beer, wine and other beverages.
We enjoyed our savory meal at Farraddays', and then headed over to the Quad-Cities Waterfront Convention Center for the Vicki Lawrence and Mama: A Two Woman Show, which is connected by a walkway. It was a perfect evening to enjoy the great food and service at Farraddays', and then a funny and entertaining performance.
Vicki Lawrence was amazing; she practically had everyone rolling in the aisles with laughter, and this was before Mama came out. Other upcoming performances include Gloria Gaynor, "The Queen of Disco" and Shirley Jones, who was the star in the star from "The Partridge Family", "Oklahoma!" and "The Music Man" that are both performing in Mid October.
The Quad Cities offers many entertainment and dining options to enjoy on your trip. With several casinos in the area, you can always catch a top name musician or performer playing. And, when it comes to dining there are several selections, including those at the Isle Of Capri Casino and Isle Casino Hotel in Bettendorf, Iowa.
The Isle Of Capri Casino is located along the Mississippi, and is easy to get to via the bridge or by the Channel Cat Water Taxi, which I loved because of the nice views along the river.
Whether you're looking for a casual evening meal after visiting the Isle Casino, a romantic night out on the town, or a group or special gathering spot, Farraddays' is the perfect restaurant for any occasion!
