Fast Cars, thrilling sporting events, and amazing performances and concerts; Indianapolis is known for all of these, and soon it will also known as one of the destinations where you can ride a Zeppelin.

The Farmers Airship will arrive in Indianapolis in early August. The Farmers Airship is one of only two Zeppelin's flying anywhere in the world. This will be a rare opportunity for anyone who takes off on this exciting flight over the Circle City. Larger than a Boeing 747, the Farmers Airship is 246 feet long, and is the biggest Airship in the world!

Owned and operated by Airship Ventures, the Farmers Airship, named Eureka, regularly offers flightseeing tours above the San Francisco Bay Area, Silicon Valley, Monterey and Los Angeles. Eureka is the only commercial passenger airship in the United States with a the cabin holds 12 passengers.

While it has often been mistaken for a blimp, Eureka is actually 50 feet longer than the largest blimp. Because of the Farmers Airship’s steady and smooth flight with panoramas of the landscape below, this Zeppelin is perfect for observation and scientific research. Among a number of organizations that have used her specifically for this purpose are the Monterey Bay Aquarium Research Institute, NASA, SETI, and Cal-EMA. 

Luxury features aboard the Eureka include oversized windows of which some open. There is a cozy a rear love seat complete with a panoramic, wrap-around window. And, of course, there's a on-board restroom that includes a view.

Tickets for the Flightseeing Tours will be available about a week prior to the Farmers Airship’s arrival in Indianapolis. Current prices for tickets range from $375 - $950 per person, plus taxes for this exciting journey. Eureka is also available for custom charters and routes that are ideal for private parties.

In April, the Farmers Airship fly over the Zurich Classic Golf in New Orleans, Louisiana. It then made its way to Florida in May, and stopped in Virginia. In June, Eureka will visit Pennsylvania, Ohio, Michigan, and Illinois.

Look to the skies if you're in Minnesota in July when the Zeppelin visit Wisconsin before heading to EAA AirVenture in Oshkosh, Wisconsin.

Later in August, it will once again visit Illinois before flying into Indianapolis, Indiana, and then it has scheduled stops in Missouri, Kansas, and Oklahoma. As Fall starts, the airship will offer tours in Arkansas and Texas; so there will be a number of chances to join a Flightseeing Tour aboard Farmers Airship.
