What a amazing history the Indianapolis Motor
Speedway has had, and fans from around the world have many memorable
moments of the victories and loses they've witnessed. And, as a race fan
you can help select the 33 greatest Indianapolis 500 drivers of all time
as part of the Centennial Celebration Of The Indianapolis 500.

"The fans have been such vital witnesses to motorsports history at this iconic race for the last 100 years, so there's no one better to select this prestigious group of motorsports legends. Everyone at IMS is really looking forward to learning of their selections."
When you visit www.thegreatest33.com, you'll find a list of 100 drivers preselected by a panel of international Motor sports media and historians. Voting is open until the 14th of May, and the results will be unveiled the following day. The site also includes statistics, audio and images for each of the 100 candidates. You'll be able to compare up to five drivers at a time when making your picks, as well as post comments and link to Facebook and Twitter.
Also during this celebration you can win daily, weekly and grand prizes that include a Kymco ATV and scooters, VIP trips to the 2011 and 2012 Indy 500, Indy Racing Experience two-seater rides, 2011 IMS race tickets and an www.iRacing.com membership. This race sweepstakes is open until May 29th, and you can enter as many times as you want.
The Month of May activities at Indianapolis Motor Speedway starts Saturday, May 7 with Emerging Tech Day, presented by Allison Transmission, Indianapolis Power & Light, Duke Energy and the U.S. Army, and the Allison Transmission Balloon Festival. Opening Day for the 100th Anniversary Indianapolis 500 is Saturday, May 14. The 100th Anniversary Indianapolis 500 Celebration of Automobiles also will take place at IMS that day.
Race Day ticket prices start at just $30, and you can purchase these online at www.imstix.com, or by calling the IMS ticket office at (317) 492-6700, or (800) 822-INDY outside the Indianapolis area, or by visiting the ticket office at the IMS Administration Building at the corner of Georgetown Road and 16th Street between 8 a.m.-5 p.m. (ET) Monday-Friday. Children 12 and under will be receive free general admission to any IMS event in 2011 when accompanied by an adult general admission ticket holder.
