Indy Gen Con

Get Ready For Gaming, Entertainment, and More At Indy Gen Con

 

Fans Anticipate The Start Of Indy Gen ConGen Con is a event for gamers of all ages, and attracts thousands of fans of gaming every year. Last year's Gen Con was a huge event and this year's will be even better with added services, and new events.

Gen Con Indy will be held at the Indiana Convention Center, and be filled with exciting events, competitions, activities, and don't forget to check out the vendors, and hundreds of exhibitors, who offer amazing items. With over 6,000 gaming events, and activities that range from interactive and computer gaming to big money hobby-related tournaments sponsored by industry leaders such as Upper Deck Entertainment and Wizards of the Coast; it's going to be a event to remember.

For those who purchased their tickets early, Gen Con has an exclusive pre-sale event planned; a Live Video Games concert set for early August in Indianapolis. This concert features the best music and synchronized video clips from many of the most popular games that included Warcraft, Final Fantasy, Mario, Zelda, Halo, and Sonic. In addition to music from Tron, Harry Potter, Medal of Honor, Metal Gear Solid, Kingdom Hearts, Myst, Pac-Man and a special retro Classic Arcade Medley featuring over 20 games from Pong to Donkey Kong.

Speaking of games, LEGO will have a booth in the Family Fun Pavilion, where you can pick up brick-based board games that you can build, play, and change. Also on hand at the booth will be world-famous board game designer, Reiner Knizia, and Lead LEGO Games Designer, Cephas Howard, who will make exclusive LEGO-only booth appearances. This is a chance to get a behind-the-scenes look at the creation of LEGO board games during two exciting panel discussions on Friday and Saturday at 1pm. And, game critic, Bernie “Major Fun” DeKoven, and principle owner of Gen Con and founder of Wizards of the Coast, Peter Adkison will be there too! Families can also visit the Training Grounds, located in the back of the Family Fun Pavilion, is where parents and kids learn games together, join crafting events, live-action events and more activities. much for the entire family to enjoy.
