Mac Tools U.S. Nationals Top Fuel “Winner”

 

Antron Brown, NHRA’s Top Fuel racer won his third Lucas Oil Raceway win at the Mac Tools U.S. Nationals presented by Lucas Oil. Antron has been racing the Top Fuel category since 2008 when he made a transition from Pro Stock Motorcycle to Top Fuel and raced to victories at Houston and at Atlanta in the Top Fuel category.

He also was the No. 1 qualifier at Pomona, Englishtown and Sonoma. By transitioning into Top Fuel he became the only driver in NHRA history to win races in both Top Fuel and Pro Stock Motorcycles.

This year 2011, Antron’s was the fastest in his Top Fuel final round performance at a 3.813-second run and a speed of 321.73 mph. This took him past Del Worsham and gave him the “Win”. This makes it his fifth win of the season and the 30th of his career.

On a personal note - Antron Brown is married to his wife Billie Jo and is the proud father to son’s Anson and Adler and daughter Arianna Celeste. His hobbies include remote-controlled boats, motorcycles and fitness. Another interesting bit of information is he also was quick enough in the 100-meter dash to qualify for the U.S. Olympic Trials in 1997. I have to say, this racer is just fast.

September 15 – 18 at zMAX Dragway near Charlotte N.C. begins the countdown to ONE at the O’Reilly Auto Parts NHRA Nationals.
