Family Fun At Stone Mountain Park’s Spring FUN Break
Fun, exciting and thrilling activities await families at Stone
Mountain Park’s Spring FUN Break. And, Stone Mountain Park has extended its
Spring FUN Break event to two weeks of family-friendly shows and entertaining
When visiting Stone Mountain you'll find the new Campfire Grill that is half dining experience and half adventure. At Campfire Grill you embark on a camping trip in the midst of rustling of the woodland creatures, and the glow of fireflies. Among the signature menu items are Campfire Skewers, Coca-Cola® Infused Ribs and warm Brownie S’Mores. The littlest campers can explore the paw prints on the tables and floors and create their own animal track crayon rubbings.
The Wildlife Wonders’ Animal Babies show brings you closer to critters like a baby otter to kangaroo and bunnies. This is a wonderful chance to talk to the animal experts and learn more about the animals through this educational and interactive encounter. After the show, kids can ask the animal experts questions and even touch some of the animals.
Another fun activity of the Wake the Bear improv show in which families in the audience steer the on-stage action when campers return to base camp only to realize it has become a favorite napping spot for a bear. The campers recruit the audience to help them drive the bear away and regain their campsite.
Then, there's the April Fool’s Wacky Wonderland when the Easter Bunny and the April Fool team up to offer a dance party, crafts and other spring-time activities. The Easter Bunny will make appearances during the full two weeks of Stone Mountain Park's Spring FUN Break event, and will share tales of his remarkable expeditions during Adventure Tales storytelling.
“I am always looking for ways to unplug and reconnect with my family, and Spring FUN Break gets us out of the house, off technology and having fun outdoors” said Gerald Rakestraw, senior vice president and general manager at Stone Mountain Park. “My kids will love the new Journey 2: The Mysterious Island – The 4-D Experience that is a 12-minute sequel to the original film. They also enjoy the animal babies show, the all new kid-friendly Campfire Grill, and all of us being together make my wife and me happy – it’s the perfect Spring Break!”
Whether joining the Spring FUN Break activities or visiting throughout the year, Stone Mountain Park offers plenty of fun for everyone. Enjoy the new Journey 2: The Mysterious Island – The 4-D Experience, Geyser Towers®, SkyHike®, the Summit Skyride, the Great Locomotive Chase Adventure Golf, The Great Barn®, Scenic Railroad, the Antebellum Plantation & Farmyard and Memorial Hall Museum. As the day wraps up, relax on the lawn and enjoy the Lasershow Spectacular in Mountainvision®.
