Capture Smiles and Memories At Disneyland and California Adventure, By Melody Schubert & Leroy Worley

Are you old enough to remember the treasured E-Ticket's? Actually, back in the day, we received a nice little booklet filled with tickets lettered from A - E, and the E-Ticket's were the ones that you used to get on rides like the Matterhorn or Space Mountain at Disneyland. The A-Ticket's would have been used for the Tea Cups of something similar and so on. It was great when Disney decided to nix the need for tickets, which meant we could ride anything we wanted, and we did!

Today, you have several ticket options for visiting Disneyland and California Adventure. We usually pick Disney's Park Hoppers because you can visit both parks as much as you want in one day. This means we can time our visits to catch different shows, and catch certain rides when there's less of a crowd. There are also special behind the scenes passes as well as dining options to help you make the most of your visit to Disneyland and California Adventure. Whether you select a Park Hopper or a One Day Ticket you'll find that each trip to Disneyland and California Adventure is different. Whether it's your first time or hundredth, the Imaginative minds at Disney are constantly updating rides and adding new adventures to enjoy.

The Disneyland Park is a micro-world of imagination and innovation. Beyond Sleeping Beauty Castle's in Fantasyland we took a spin on the Tea Cups, and flew high over London with Peter Pan before heading over to the French Quarter of New Orleans Square for our favorite ride; the Haunted Mansion. The 999 spooks were in the midst of celebrating with Jack Skelton, from a Nightmare Before Christmas, which made the Haunted Mansion even more entertaining.

Disney's Imagination Comes To Life

Thanks to Walt Disney's imagination, Disneyland Park has become a tradition for many families. On our trip we went beyond Sleeping Beauty Castle's, where in Fantasyland we took a spin on the Tea Cups, and flew high over London with Peter Pan. Then we visited the French Quarter of New Orleans Square for our favorite ride; the Haunted Mansion. The 999 spooks were in the midst of celebrating with Jack Skelton, from a Nightmare Before Christmas, which made the Haunted Mansion even more entertaining.

Afterwards, we spotted Jack Sparrow lurking about on the Pirates of the Caribbean, and enjoyed a festive gathering in the heart of the French Quarter of New Orleans Square before enjoyed lunch. Later, as we dined waved at the folks in the Mark Twain Riverboat that cruised by while we considered where to head next on our Disney adventure. We had plenty of choices; from a thrilling ride on the Thunder Mountain Railroad to trekking through the Pirate's Lair on Tom Sawyer Island in Frontierland. We considered zipping down Splash Mountain in Critter Country, then decided to head to Adventureland instead for a Indiana Jones Adventure and Jungle Cruise.

After stopping in at a shop to look at the new Disney Trading Pins, we headed to Tomorrowland, where imagination and innovation unite. Among our favorite attractions here are Buzz Lightyear Astro Blasters, and checking out the futuristic inventions like Body Builder. The odd looking circular spears with the latest video games inside were packed with kids of all ages, while nearby there were other kids playing what looked like shuffle board, which was projected on the floor.

Each visit to Disneyland is unique because their always working behind the scenes to create something new. We can wait to see what imaginative adventures Disney comes up with on our next trip!
