Holiday Inn Hotel and Suites Fort Rapids Indoor Water Park Resort:
We were traveling on U.S. 70 east through Columbus, Ohio when Tony, brought to
my attention this strange looking building that had tubes coming out twisting
and turning then going back into it again. It looked so different that we
missed the name of the place the first time thru. On the way back we were
surprised to find out that it was a Holiday Inn with an enclosed six story
water park attached to the side of it.

Michael’s Bistro & Bar:
G. Michael’s Bistro & Bar is located just south of Downtown Columbus in historic
German Village. Alice and I discovered it while shopping along South Third St.
in this wonderful area. I contacted Chef David Tetzloff and talked with him
about the type of food they served and I made reservations.
Schmidt’s
Restaurant and Sausage Haus In German Village, Columbus, Ohio:
A few weeks ago my wife, Alice, and I
were leisurely driving on old brick paving, worn thin by years of
horse and wagon traffic in the historic German Village, in
Columbus Ohio. We were to have lunch with Geoff Schmidt president
of Schmidt’s Restaurant and Sausage Haus, located in a Historic
brick livery stable on Kossuth St. and Purdy Alley, and is honored
as a Historical Building on the National Register.

fact is that the Indian's who lived here occupied much of the Ohio area between
800 B.C. and 1200 A.D. and for unknown reasons moved away from the area around
400 A. D. I found this to be a very fascinating information and a neat area to
check out. The last area is the Hiking and Interpretative trails, and I am a
person who loves to hike.
