A Wednesday night in Indy and suddenly the crowd begins to descend upon the White River State Park, Indy's only Urban State Park. Tonight we gather for the kick off of the Concert Series on The Lawn that includes a special appearance by the Wailers and OAR! We are as excited as those around us to hear our favorites tunes by both groups. Indy loves music, and just about every night of the week you'll find a great band playing somewhere at one the cities many music venues.
For a summer concert The Lawn at White River State Park is perfect. The stage is close, so you can bring a blanket or use one of the FREE chairs they hand out when you enter. There is also a special seating area on the lawn with a great view of the stage. Spend a few extra dollars and you can enjoy VIP Seating, and order drinks, or relax in the VIP tent. Oh, and with VIP services you have access to the restroom facilities in the Visitors Center, which is a big perk!
One of the great benefits of catching a concert on The Lawn is the open space that gives everyone plenty of room to move around.
