Often learning about the geography and history of an area is a enlightening and exciting experience on our trips. And now there is a special book that inspires kids to learn about geography; A Journey with the Spider and the Snake to Arizona, by Beatrice Cook.

A Journey with the Spider and the Snake to Arizona is a colorful book that takes us on a journey across Arizona. We travel with Spider and Snake, who, although a unlikely pair, discover many of Arizona's treasures. This exciting book by Beatrice Cook is engaging and entertaining!

We were delighted with the beautiful character's Beatrice created, and the way she bring geography to life. We often forget the lessons we learned in school, and as a recent study by National Geographic-Roper Public Affairs found that young Americans are severely lacking in their geography knowledge. Beatrice Cook's book, A Journey with the Spider and the Snake to Arizona is great way to re-introduce geography into the lives of American families.

"One night while playing a geography game with my grandsons, I realized how little they knew about state capitals," says author Beatrice Cook. "They were in awe of my knowledge and wanted to learn more, so I was inspired to write my book: A Journey with the Spider and the Snake to Arizona."

Cook found that her unique approach to geography education piqued her grandsons' interest and left them clamoring for more. She created the loveable characters of Betty the spider and Jake the rattlesnake and crafted a thrilling adventure through the landscape of the Arizona desert. "It is important for children to become interested in the world around them at an early age," says Cook. "My grandsons inspired me to write these books for all children to learn from. My grandsons can't wait to hear what Betty and Jake will do next, and I think all children will feel the same way!"

"Explore America's Backyard, where the miles are measured by memorable moments shared with family and friends"
