"One night while playing a geography game with my grandsons, I realized how little they knew about state capitals," says author Beatrice Cook. "They were in awe of my knowledge and wanted to learn more, so I was inspired to write my book: A Journey with the Spider and the Snake to Arizona."

Cook found that her unique approach to geography education piqued her grandsons' interest and left them clamoring for more. She created the loveable characters of Betty the spider and Jake the rattlesnake and crafted a thrilling adventure through the landscape of the Arizona desert.
