Wilmington and Western Railroad
in Wilmington. The railroad
offers many events geared toward children, including civil war skirmish trains,

holiday light train. Trains operate rain or shine from April-December.

Butler's Pantry Self Service Cafe. The Rockwood Mansion Park, located at 610
Shipley Rd. (enter from Washington Street Extension) features a wonderful
Victorian Mansion and park with gardenesque landscape. The tour hours are
10am-3pm. The Cafe is open 7am-5pm
Just a short distance away travelers
will discover the Kalmar Nyckel Shipyard at 1124 E. Seventh
St. in Wilmington. This living-history shipyard and museum is home of Delaware's Tall Ship Ambassador, the Kalmar Nyckel,
an authentic re-creation of the historic vessel that brought the first European
settlers to the Delaware Valley in 1638. Travelers can tour the ship and
shipyard, which is also available for private charters, weddings and private
functions.
