Discover exciting wildlife and outdoor adventures WyomingWe travel often, and one of our favorite activities is viewing the wildlife native to the area we visit. Wyoming has beautiful woodlands and wide-open space where Wildlife enthusiasts can sign up for special photo safaris and expeditions through the National Parks and surrounding National Forests. This is a unique opportunity to view animals like elks, and those rarely seen elsewhere, including such large predators as the grizzly bear and the wolf, in their natural habitats. Sleigh rides also are available, including the best-known trek into the National Elk Refuge where a herd of approximately 6,000 of the majestic animals spend the winter.
