Enjoy Year-Round In Mankato, Minnesota,

Mankato features an abundant array of activities and festivals to enjoy
throughout the year, and is home of the Minnesota Vikings Training Camp. It's
Mankato's small town charm which draws us back.
We love visiting festivals, fairs, and annual
celebrations around the USA. It's a wonderful way to learn more about the
people and culture of an area. In Mankato there are a number of great festivals
and celebrations to experience.
Spring is a wonderful time to savor a taste of
cultures at the International Festival.
Summer heats up with the annual
Rockin'
in the Quarry Festival,
Fourth of July Fireworks show, the North Mankato Fun Days, and the Annual
Hickory Street Ribfest in August.
In September guests arrive from around the
country to discover Native American traditions at the Mdewakanton, Mah-kato
Traditional Powwow where you'll find unique craftsmen and cultural exhibits.
History comes to life in October at the Historyfest.
And then the beauty of winter takes hold and
everyone gathers for the Festival of Trees, annual
Christmas Tea at Old Main Village, and a beautiful
holiday musical and theatrical productions.

In Mankato, Minnesota
Visit Mankato and you'll discover nature's beauty
is everywhere. From scenic trails to parks, there are plenty of outdoor
activities to enjoy in the scenic Minnesota River Valley. Among the favorites
are cross country skiing and snowmobiling in the heart of winter. Oh, for those
who love fishing there are sparkling lakes within the Mankato area where you
can drop in a line, go boating, swimming and camping. Drop in at the
Minneopa State Park for a hike and picnic, and
while you're there check out the 45 foot high waterfall; a breath-taking
experience.

small towns across the nation is similar to unearthing a treasure chest, you
never know what exciting sites you'll find around the next bend in the road. Stroll around Mankato's historic downtown and
browse through unique shops or step back in time at one of the area historical
sites. At night check out local entertainment or events at the Midwest Wireless
Civic Center. Enjoy shopping at one of Mankato's malls, and discover special
gifts and treasures at area specialty shops or
antique stores. Among the antique shops around Mankato you'll also find relics
from the past. Wherever we went we found friendly faces and helpful advice for
