The elegant Galt House let's guests stay close to all the action and excitement that Louisville has to offers. From the lively Greek Festival to Fourth Street Live that comes to life when the sun sets, there's always something unforgettable to experience in Louisville, Kentucky.
When traveling on business or pleasure our first goal is to find a hotel that offers both comfort and convenience. We soon learned that the Galt House is just minutes from the airport, and only a short distance from the convention center, dining and entertainment venues. This was our first visit to Louisville, Kentucky, so we were uncertain what to expect when we arrived at the Galt House, located on Fourth Street at the river. The first thing we noticed when we arrived is the friendly and courteous Galt staff, who greeted us with smiles and a helpful hand with our luggage. Once in our spacious room they took the extra time to make sure we were comfortable and felt right at home before departing.
Relax and unwind
Baseball's Legends, History, & Home Runs As kids we played ball on a quiet street. Bases were the four corners and home plate was an old top off a pizza box. The thrill of hitting a home run lasted all day in those dog days of summer. On our visit to the Louisville Slugger Museum we spotted the sparkle in the eyes of Little Leaguers when they caught a glimpse of one of only a hand full of remaining bats that belonged to the legendary Babe Ruth. This is just one of the amazing exhibits on display at the Louisville Slugger Museum. A tour of the museum gives visitors a behind the scenes look into the craftsmanship of these world-class bats used by Little Leaguers and the Pros, plus a souvenir you can have personalized!

The riverboat, the Belle of Louisville, which offers a nightly cruise, is located just steps away from the Galt House. Our cruise along the river at sunset was a romantic step back in time. During our visit to Louisville we came to admire the city's simple and attractive charm found in mostly small towns.
After long hours at a convention or meeting we search for a cozy place to relax and unwind before dinner. The cozy conservatory between the Galt House's hotels is ideal for casual conversation, a cocktail, or a snack from the eatery available.
The Galt House has several restaurants to satisfy your appetite. Room service and catering are also available for meetings and intimate family gathering in one of the Galt House's spacious meeting rooms.
One of the newest and most prestigious additions to Louisville, Kentucky is the Frazier Historical Arms Museum. This museum is especially unique because it is the only one in the nation featuring a rare collection of historical arms from England. A few historic figures like Annie Oakley and Wild Bill were on hand for the Grand Opening celebration. Everyday is a special occasion for anyone with an interest in historical arms though. Special programs, exhibits, and such a rare collection of arms makes it just another reason to visit Louisville any time of the year!
