NHRA, Mac Tools U.S. Nationals At O'Reilly Raceway Park In Indianapolis, By Judy Worley: Hot Roding enthusiasts enjoyed an unbelievable weekend of Drag Racing over Labor Day Weekend at O’Reilly Raceway Park in Indianapolis, Indiana for the 52nd running of the “MAC TOOLS U.S. NATIONALS”.

Spectators from around the globe saw some the world’s most prestigious drag racing at it’s finest with high performance, fast speeds and magnificently painted dragsters. These race vehicles were nothing but AWESOME! Thousands of spectators packed the stands to watch over 1000 racers compete in 12 different racing categories.

Feel The Incredible POWER

I am personally a huge fan of the night time drag racing. Watching these incredible machines with fire trailing behind them in the dark of the night at unbelievable speed kind of makes one speechless. My favorite series of competition is the Top Fuel Dragsters and the Funny Cars. These vehicles are two different types of drag racing competitors that have some really incredible POWER! It never ceases to amaze me just how fast and powerful they really are. No matter where you sit or stand you can feel just how powerful they are when  your entire body vibrates as they rumble down that ¼ mile strip. WOW what a rush!

Oh yeah, don’t forget the earplugs, because these cars are super loud yet incredibly exciting to watch.

I think the reason I find drag racing to be so intriguing and exciting is because to win one on these pro competition drag races the driver has to have .000 perfect reaction time. I call that No Reaction Time. Then to actually see them start off when the light goes green is mind boggling. These drivers have to think quicker than quick. Once they start off with split second timing it only takes the Top Fuel dragster 0.8 seconds to go from 0 to 100 mph (60 feet) and 4.420 seconds for the quickest Top Fueler to travel a quarter mile in distance. That is really, really fast. One of the fastest speeds set in 2005 by Tony Schumacher was 337.58 mph. I not sure, but I think an airplane could actually take off with that kind of speed. You know you gotta love it!

Dare Devils And Thrills At O'Reilly Raceway Park In Indianapolis

The NHRA not only have the best of best drag racing they also have plenty of other attractions to enjoy like a popular team of freestyle motor cross jumpers. Over Labor Day weekend at O’Reilly Raceway Park these high-flying acrobatics amazed the crowds with their outstanding performances. These motorcycle riders are some serious dare devils. They did some really cool stunts in mid air that I don’t think just anyone could do. These acrobatic drivers were awesome and really intriguing to watch.

The fans also had the pleasure of watching multiple skydiving performances as well. That was a lot of fun to watch because you kind of feel like WOE, I hope they land right. They all landed really well. These divers were very impressive. What a great weekend! O'Reilly Raceway Park In Indianapolis is the place to find great action packed attractions for everyone to enjoy.

The 2,000,000 (two million) Drag Racing spectators, fans and enthusiast know that each year the NHRA POWERade Series just get better! And they ALL fans understand those words POWER, a lot of EXCITEMENT, and some serious FUN!
