Photographing Yellowstone in Winter is a unique experience. The vast
landscape offers amazing opportunities to capture one of a kind shots you won't find any place else.
Special trips for small groups of avid photographers and nature buffs gather together and slip into snow coaches and enter the magical world of Yellowstone in the winter.
Xanterra services has created a basic itinerary that includes the first two nights at Mammoth Hot Springs, then two nights at Snow Lodge (next to Old faithful), and then back to Mammoth for another two nights. Travel into the park's interior will be by snow coach. During the trip they offer a voucher system for meals (breakfasts and lunches) – to give you the greatest flexibility. The evening are on your own so you can dine wherever you like. You'll also be provided Xanterra's popular Snow Card, which is good for 10% of meals, gifts and other Xanterra services.
We often use a standard digital camera on short trips. If you have a high profile camera these trips offer a great
opportunity to learn a few tips from the pros. One of the workshop begins and ends in Mammoth Hot Springs, Wyoming. Cost includes all lodging, guided outings, van transportation, service charges. Cost includes breakfasts and lunches (voucher card), dinner on your own. Participants must be in good health, capable of walking and carrying photo gear over ice and through snow, and be willing to try new things. Currently
