It's true, about 42 percent of the world’s general aviation aircraft are produced in Wichita. If you're in the area be sure to check out the Kansas Aviation Museum that has a fun and inactive display recalling Wichita’s aviation history. The exhibits include a B-47 and a B-52 jet bombers. Each year along with fun events for the whole family at the Kansas Aviation Museum, Wichita welcomes the annual Wichita Flight Festival in August that celebrates the city’s aviation heritage.
As one of 7th largest zoo in the United States, Wichita's Sedgwick County Zoo is the pride of the city. It is also one of our favorite places to explore when visiting Wichita. The great thing about visiting the zoo is that the animals are not predictable. You never know when nature calls or what new animal exhibit or event is going on unless you visit the Sedgwick County Zoo. One of the newest exhibit is the Slawson Family Tiger Trek; this is a wonderful addition to the zoo's diverse collection of animals, and each exhibit and programs is designed to encourage us to help protects these beautiful creatures.
