We stayed at the SpringHill Suites by Marriott Downtown and loved it. The room was so spacious, and had a great view of White River State Park. With so much going on in Indy we had no problem walking around town; you're really so close to everything. Of course, you can call for a cab or drive to a local restaurant, but it's so much nicer to get out and explore the city on foot. With the Indiana State Museum across the street we were able to enjoy a IMAX movie and the new exhibits, and there are free concerts and events offered throughout the year. In fact, Indy has many free events to enjoy, and with Earth Day just ahead, you'll find plenty of entertainment and festivals to join in Indy.
Whenever we stay at a Marriott property we can expect exceptional service, as was the case at the SpringHill Suites. If we wanted to know where to eat or need directions someone was always there to help. We took time to relax in the pool with other guests and testing out the Fitness Equipment that gives you a serious work out. The lobby is decorated in comfortable colors and very comfortable, which was nice for relaxing and reading the morning paper. Just a few steps away is TGI Friday’s that has been redecorated and host many events for sports fans.
TGI Friday’s offers great food at affordable prices and services always comes with a smile. It's a great place to meet with friends and family before heading out to a festival or attraction. And, because their located at the Marriott Place Development location, guests can take advantage of ordering room service. We'd much rather order a great steak and fresh vegetables rather than a pizza.
