Daytona Beach, Florida is known for
high-speed action on the beach and on the track. During our
visit we learned what it takes to make a pit stop, the history
behind the thrilling races at the Daytona International
Speedway, and discovered a few surprises along the way. When looking for a place to stay in Daytona there
are many choices along the strip. We stayed at newly renovated
Acapulco Hotel
and Resort, which has 133 air-conditioned guestrooms in an eight-story
building nestled along the southern shores of Daytona. The Acapulco Hotel and
Resort has a nostalgic, yet contemporary style, and friendly staff that remind
me of classic movie featuring Bogie. Whatever you need, the staff at the
Acapulco Hotel and Resort will be there to assist you.
Our eighth floor room overlooked the ocean, and I loved sitting out on the balcony sipping coffee in the morning as the sun rose. All rooms have a private ocean view balcony, cable TV with HBO, and individually controlled air conditioning. The Acapulco Hotel and Resort‘s rooms all have refrigerators, and many have complete kitchen facilities. We enjoy taking advantage of the kitchen to fix snacks during our visit. Take just a few steps outside the resort and you can wander miles of beach! If the water is too chilly, then return to the resort and lounge around the crystal clear pool or relax in the hot tub. The Acapulco Hotel and Resort serves a wonderful breakfast, and features a bar as well.
With three-star accommodations designed to meet
the needs of both business and leisure travelers alike, the Acapulco Hotel and
Resort is a excellent choice for a Florida getaway. Set on the quieter side of
Daytona, we found it nice to simply hang out and relax in our tropical
paradise. When we wanted to hit the town, everything is just moments away.
Down the road we discovered the Ocean Center, Boardwalk Amusements, and the
Daytona Lagoon. Just a bit further is the world-famous Daytona International
Speedway and Daytona USA where we enjoyed many interactive attractions. Stay
close to all the action, yet far enough away and enjoy a bit of paradise at
the Acapulco Hotel and Resort!
