South Arkansas Symphony Orchestra - As summer comes to a close we look forward to the Fall and the colorful mix of festive events and attractions to explore. On the top of our list of places to visit is Arkansas this year. It is here we can enjoy the classic we love by the the Eagles and the "Hotel California" album in its entirety at the Eagles Tribute Concert in Mid Sept at the Municipal Auditorium in El Dorado. The innovative Canadian rock ensemble Jeans ‘n Classics are scheduled to perform the show with the South Arkansas Symphony Orchestra. (800-792-0521) And this is just the beginning of a festive fall season in Arkansas.

SouthArk Outdoor Expo - Also coming up in El Dorado is a event families will especially enjoy that includes hands-on activities at the SouthArk Outdoor Expo. While many outdoor enthusiasts will flock to the event to view the latest sporting gear, families can enjoy a photo contest, rib cook-off, and kids activities at the SouthArk Outdoor Expo in Mid Sept in El Dorado at the South Arkansas Community College East Campus. (870-864-7130). Later in the month is the Union County Fair in El Dorado at the Union County Fairgrounds. There will be exhibits, a carnival, food and community booths, and a livestock auction. County & State Fairs -A parade, dog show, animals, and a dance contest will take place at the Magnolia-Columbia County Fair and Livestock Show in Mid Sept in Magnolia. (870-234-4352). Then there's the Four States Fair & Rodeo through the end of the month in Texarkana. Watch the clash of cars at the Demolition Derby Friday night. On Saturday there will be a parade downtown and a concert at night. Plus, there are four nights of rodeo by the Professional Rodeo Cowboys Association, and admission is free for children under 5-years old. (870-773-2941).

The Perot Theatre Series -For a amazing performances be sure to visit the Historic Perot Theatre, where performers like the San Jose Taiko Drummers and other acts have taken the stage in Mid Sept at the Historic Perot Theatre. Among the other acts who have performed include the Japanese style of percussionists featured who fused the rhythms of Africa, Brazil, Bali, Latin America, and jazz with martial arts inspired choreography. Cars & Cowboys -  Mark your calendar for the Annual Mid South Club Car Show in Late Sept. in Sheridan. Along with classic cars there will be a a concession stand, and games for both kids and adults. Registration starts at 8 a.m. and admission is free to visitors. There is a entry fee for this event. Call 501-888-1205 for more information. And, we can't forget the Annual Southwest Arkansas District Livestock Show & Rodeo located at Fair Park in Hope that run through the first of Oct. There will be a livestock show, commercial booths, flower show, food preservation (canning), arts and crafts, horticulture, a carnival, and rodeo. (870-777-5111).
