Sail on 16-day, fully-escorted river cruise on Europe's Rhine, Main
and Danube Rivers from Budapest to Amsterdam in Mid Sept. through the
first of Oct. with nationally renowned radio host Diane Rehm.
Special guest, Diane Rehm, is host and executive producer of The
Diane Rehm Show. Each week, more than 1.7 million listeners across the
country tune in to the program, which has grown in 29 years from a local
morning call-in show to a public broadcasting powerhouse distributed by
NPR, NPR Worldwide and SIRIUS satellite radio. Rehm is the author of two
autobiographical books. She and her husband, John, traveled with
Cross-Culture Journeys and public radio listeners from other stations to
the Adriatic Sea last year.
WAMU 88.5 travelers will board the MS River Discovery in Budapest,
where they will begin their tour along the Danube River. Stops include
Vienna, Salzburg, Bavaria, Nuremberg, and other villages along the Main
and Rhine Rivers. Travelers may extend the tour beforehand with a visit
to Prague during its International Music Festival, or afterwards in
Amsterdam.
Prices with airfare from Washington, D.C., begin at $5,195.00 per
person, double occupancy. Single supplements are available in some cabin
categories. The optional Prague pre-tour with airfare is $1,395.00 per
person, double occupancy; the optional Amsterdam post-tour extension
with airfare is $995.00 per person, double occupancy. Prices are
all-inclusive excluding airline and government taxes and surcharges,
port charges, and personal items. A discount of $250.00 per person is
available when reservations are made and paid in full before February
15. A portion of the fare benefits the programs and services of WAMU
88.5.
