Three hundred years before Tommy Reed started his own Treasure Hunters Club as a way of emulating his famous treasure-hunting uncle ‘Diamond’ Jack Reed, a gypsy placed a magical ‘power of the light’ into a blue-stoned medallion to protect her people but was forced to throw it into the ocean when thieves tried to steal it from her. With the help of his crew and trusted assistant, Jack Reed accomplishes his goal. Finding four medallions, he discards two and keeps the ones that have strange markings around blue stones – giving one to the collector who hired him and sending the other to his nephew Tommy, knowing Tommy will be thrilled and will show it to his friends in the Treasure Hunters Club. Tommy soon realizes the medallion has special powers and he and his friends set out to do research at the library and uncover the medallion’s secrets.
